What I’m watching for

• I want to see if we hold this 7250s as downside support this sequence targets above at 7324

• Potential overhead supply

  • as we come in to retest that ATH at 7300

NQ was forming balance up here prior to Fridays close.

We did technically hold this sequence in crude. If you look it is actually just one giant balance area forming here.

What im watching for:

• how price reacts as we approach these key levels near VAH and VAL

• This can also be a headline driven market, so it is sensitive to news about the strait of hormuz

  • downside targets for crude ar 93, 85 76 and 69

< Sorry guys !! I was moving last week, so mostly done, and going back to regular posting this week >

I have also switched my Nikkei Analysis to the OSE contract — due to differences in liquidity, I decided that this is better than using the CME /NKD.

News for the week

• No News Mon / Weds

  • red folder for the week will be Tuesday

  • looks like we also have Fed Chair Warsh testifying so that should be fun

• I do trade Nikkei, so I track JPY prints, nothing to crazy, manufacturing and national core CPI

» Next week we have Fed Rates, and BOJ rates, so should be interesting week given the fact the ceasefire has been potentially violated and the negotiation talks are falling thru.

Looks like priced in to just hold steady. I’m more curious to see whats going on w the new chair and how the market reacts to that.

Very strong trend this past week. Sad I was moving most of the week lol

• This is not a trend that I would really short,

  • when there is a strong momentum until something is showing us that the market is showing signs of weakness / momentum shift

I know it is tempting to short something like this, but there is literally nothing showing us there is weakness, so you have to keep that in mind and let go of a short bias or keep conservative targets in mind — otherwise you’re going to just eat stop after stop.

• It doesnt matter if the headlines are fake, if the cease fire will fail, none of that matters, only thing that matters is the activity of the market participants in REAL time.

• If buyers are in control w strong momentum, the price will go up until they are exhausted — if you try to ignore this and just fire in short you will get chopped up by SL

  So now, price action like this makes sense of how why I mark levels the way I do, and why I say “what is important is the activity of market participants in REAL TIME”

• as soon as we break AND HOLD above the LIS you see that those premium zones are getting blasted right thru.

• Anyone positioned short still at these levels become forced buyers as we break above adding fuel to that push to the upside.

  • Once we break and hold above that distribution zone at 24892 shorts are in danger with a strong push to the upside.

Weekend development is that the talks between US and Iran have fallen through.

Major news prints this week are Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. Fed on the mic Friday

Never a bad idea to see how VX and 10Y are reacting to this. This will kind of show whether people are risk on / risk off.

We had some poor structure left behind from that gap up last week

Whats interesting is we have two distinct distribution areas here w poor structure in the middle.

• Single prints from 6837 - 6844

We rotate up into the LIS and then really were not able to break and hold above it. Volume starts to dry up as well.

right now ES is at 6803 in the overnight session.

• The only thing we can really do is wait to see how the overnight positioning reacts

Japan’s PPI is tomorrow night as well.

  • At this point i’m not sure what to believe, because everyday something else comes out.

We have that 30 yr bond auction tonight

• for tomorrow nothing major on the news schedule.

• 

  some volatility from news overnight with some strikes in Iran.

crude is kinda ripping on the news, coming up to retest these upside targets

i’m glad i waited until after dinner to type this up lol

RTH only,

We have some gaps below that havent been filled, 6464-6379

I was hoping we would test this 6277 -6200 as downside support during RTH. This is NFA but I was looking to start entering some swing positions, but I’m not sure if the low is in or not.

Its always speculation — I know I could be wrong, but I’m ok entering after a pullback rather than getting caught in a bulltrap.

The way we’ve been moving during ETH, i’ve been pulling more levels from it. Watching for 6534 | 6499 to be retested as downside support

As we come up into this LIS — you will see that we stall around that, then retest downside support. We are really unable to maintain above it for that continuation / push higher.

So I will be monitoring for 6534-6499 as downside support — keeping in mind there is unfilled gap below at 6414-6460

• We have red folder prints every day aside from Tuesday.

  

  • we do have this wild card with the situation in Iran, I believe I saw something about a press conference being held tomorrow around 1pm

Futures currently opened with a gap down that was already filled — so we will see how the overnight inventory is positioned going into the RTH open

Recap of Last week

• We had some poor structure left behind with these moves last week.

  • We were left with a gap from about 6380s - 6460s in ES

• Lots of volatility with the current situation in Iran, and the potential for inflation due to the rising cost of crude

As of right now, doesn’t appear that we are pricing for a hike at this next meeting

Backing out into a higher time frame, you can see where we’re at inside of structure.

• Some poor structure left behind from all the news driven PA and gaps below.

• Given the current situation in Iran, and the POTUS recent ultimatums seems as though there is potential for escalation if the Straight of Hormuz is not opened.

Its tough for me to make any super confident callouts aside from where major overhead supply / downside support is potentially positioned. With news driven markets, what I have noticed is that they have the potential to rotate into these major areas.

• Im not an economist, so i’m not sure how ground strikes affect the market i’ll be honest. I am assuming it will cause the market to puke. But you never really know.

I have seen people say that there is a bit of slippage with this platform, or that it gets laggy when the tape picks up.

» A lot of influencers hail it as the “best platform” but I’m not sure why, it’s basically just TradingView.

I dont need to drag and drop on the chart to see the $$, I can do the math in my head easily and I also use the DOM.

This is inferior to professional software IMO. I think for a beginner it might be easier to learn, but professional software (NT8, MW, Jigsaw) just have better features.

• Loaded schedule this week

  • Powell on the mic Monday

• We also have Tokyo core CPI Mon — which last meeting came in above forecast.

• I think I mentioned in premium posts— I was interested in potentially opening a swing in NKD, but I didn’t feel it in my bones, and thought we had potential to retest some lower downside support. (looks like I was right)

  

I will begin looking to enter some swing positions potentially. I’ll work on getting some research together for premium subscribers this week hopefully.

I will also be releasing a 2nd more in depth newsletter for paid subscribers looking at GC SI YM RTY and maybe some stocks. I feel like I been bored losing my mind waiting for this distribution to crack lol

also shout out chris and books, I saw they were crushing it last week

ES /

• Looks like we finally broke this consolidation in the indexes.

  • If you look at this blue box on the left side, what we are missing is a clean excess low put in from this balance area.

    • Meaning there is potential liquidity below, where not all buyers were able to position themselves.

  • Again — if you didnt know, the main big bois that are in the market are banks, pension funds, retirement funds etc

    • They do not trade small time frames and usually use quantitative stuff to decide where to buy.

Dont think like a fish. Know where their pain points are, and dont fight the trend.

So this will obviously go one of two ways, we will either continue to see some downward selling pressure or we wont.

• If we do and we rotate into these major downside support levels (which is why they are thicccc blue lines so you dont miss them) one of two things will occur

• 6204-5949

  • we will either bounce from them with a combination of dealers unwinding hedging/responsive buying/short covering

  • OR we could consolidate and form balance area down here. (of course we could keep selling off but that would be a bit extreme, but you never know)

• Be prepared for more than one outcome, know where your levels are invalidated and dont fight the trend. Momentum and velocity of these moves will tell you where the market wants to go.

  • Dont fight it, let the market show you where it wants to go.

  • Moving averages / vwap here will probably be your friend.

    • When that momentum shifts you will see a significant MA crossover. It will blow right thru those VWAPs.

NQ /

recap —

• So we saw some consolidation for a bit before finally seeing that liquidity break. I had mentioned that the giant purple dashed line at 23963 had been tested and held during ETH but not yet tested during RTH

  • also you can see purple for me is a level that needs to hold, but not necessarily one i’m going to yolo in on a trade.

  • I had mentioned in prior analysis if this level for 23,963 in NQ does not hold it had potential for liquidations. Which is exactly what happened.

• Now we are left with the question — how much lower can we go?

• If you look at this blue box on the left side, what we are missing is a significant excess low put in from this balance area.

  • Meaning that we might have potential resting liquidity underneath still. Obviously this is all just speculation— right. As traders, were just trying to identify institutional positioning, and ride those waves.

• Here I have 2 major levels with a region highlighted in between.

  • 22,891 - 21,429

    • The reason it is highlighted is— if selling pressure increases, especially in NQ ATR will expand and theres no telling exactly where it will pivot. Which is why there is a giant box.

    • This is also a 1400 pt range.

  • there is more than one thing that can occur as we rotate into this zone, we could see a mean reversion, but we could ALSO consolidate down here. (and also could just blow thru and liquidate, no one knows)

    • You want to be prepared to see more than one scenario

    • Know what invalidates your trade thesis.

People want to kind of compare it to the april ‘25 sell off —

But looking at these distribution patterns they are no where near the same.
